SRA Price & Service Transparency

In compliance with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Transparency Rules, we are committed to providing clear price and service information for our immigration legal services.

Understanding Our Legal Fees

The fee estimates provided below cover some of the most common immigration applications we handle. Please be aware that the final cost can vary based on the specifics of your case. Factors that may influence the total fee include your current country of residence, your previous immigration record, the complexity of the supporting evidence, and the time required to prepare a thorough application.

Other external variables can also affect the process, such as Home Office processing delays, the requirement for an interview, or if your case is escalated for review by a senior Home Office caseworker.

The legal framework for UK immigration is intricate and subject to regular updates, which can also impact the handling of a case.

Value Added Tax (VAT)

Please note that our quoted fees are exclusive of Value Added Tax (VAT). In most situations, VAT will be added to your final invoice at the standard UK rate of 20%.

Fixed Fee Arrangements

For many of the visa applications we handle, we can offer a fixed fee. After we conduct an initial review of your case and confirm your eligibility, we will quote you a set price. This gives you certainty about the cost from the very beginning. Your fee won't increase, even if the work takes longer than expected, unless your instructions or circumstances change significantly.

Hourly Rate Billing

Alternatively, fees may be calculated based on our hourly rates. Our hourly rates are as follows:

  • Solicitor: £350 (+20% VAT)
  • Paralegal: £220 (+20% VAT)

At the outset of our engagement, you will be advised of the estimated total cost for our services.

Most Expenses Included

We do not charge separately for typical firm expenses like calls, photocopying, printing, or standard postage.

Our fees will not include costs payable to third parties (known as disbursements), such as Home Office fees, Court or Tribunal fees, independent expert fees and translation/interpretation fees. Where such costs arise, you will be responsible for these, where VAT at 20% may also be chargeable.

Home Office Fees

Please note that our legal fees are separate from the application fees charged directly by the Home Office. These official government charges vary depending on the specific type of application being submitted. For an up-to-date list of these costs, please visit the official GOV.UK website.

Translation and Interpreter Fees

If your case requires documents to be translated into English, or if you need an interpreter to communicate with us, please be aware that these services involve additional costs.

  • Translations: Home Office regulations state that any documents not originally in English must be translated by a professional company.
  • Interpreters: The fee for an interpreter is based on the specific language required and the duration of their service. We will always confirm the cost for these third-party services with you beforehand.

Please note that both translation and interpreting fees may be subject to VAT at 20%.

Counsel Fees

For particularly complex legal matters or for representation at Home Office interviews or Tribunal hearings, it may be necessary to instruct a specialist Counsel. Their fees, which are separate from our own, typically range from £250 to £450 per hour, depending on their level of experience and expertise. In most cases, VAT at 20% is also applicable to Counsel's fees.
